RAAD Tactical BATUR EDPC: Pakistan’s Advanced Modular Combat System
Beyond a Plate Carrier. Beyond Conventional Tactical Gear. A Complete Combat System.
Modern warfare is evolving rapidly. The battlefield demands more than ballistic protection. Today’s soldiers and tactical operators require mobility, adaptability, equipment accessibility, effective load distribution, and the ability to operate efficiently across different mission environments.
At RAAD Tactical, we believe that modern combat equipment should function as an integrated system rather than a collection of individual accessories.
This philosophy led to the development of the BATUR Extended Dynamic Plate Carrier (EDPC) Series, one of our most advanced modular combat equipment platforms.
More Than Protection: A Complete Combat Platform
Traditional plate carriers primarily focus on carrying ballistic plates and ammunition. The BATUR EDPC Series takes this concept further by integrating multiple operational requirements into a single adaptable platform.
From ammunition management and hydration to communications, navigation, medical equipment, and mission-specific accessories, the system is designed to support the modern operator without compromising essential mobility.
The objective is simple: reduce unnecessary complexity while improving operational efficiency.
1. Advanced Modular Architecture
Every mission presents different operational requirements.
An assault team, a reconnaissance operator, a counterterrorism unit, and a conventional infantry soldier may require entirely different equipment configurations.
The BATUR EDPC Series features a modular architecture that allows operators to configure their equipment according to mission requirements.
Key features include:
– Interchangeable front ammunition placards.
– MOLLE-compatible attachment surfaces.
– Detachable rear assault and hydration backpack.
– Adjustable shoulder and cummerbund systems.
– Integrated quick-release mechanisms.
– Compatibility with additional utility, medical, and communication accessories.
– Support for front, rear, and compatible side ballistic plates.
Rather than forcing operators to adapt to their equipment, the system is designed to adapt to the operator.
2. Integrated Load Management
One of the biggest challenges faced by soldiers is the physical burden of carrying combat equipment for extended periods.
Poorly distributed weight can increase shoulder fatigue, restrict movement, and reduce operational endurance.
The BATUR EDPC system incorporates an adjustable load-management design intended to distribute equipment weight more effectively across the upper body and torso.
Its structured configuration helps improve equipment stability and reduce excessive concentration of weight on the shoulders.
Because carrying more equipment should not automatically mean sacrificing mobility.
3. Integrated Hydration and Assault Capability
Hydration is an essential requirement during extended operations, particularly in demanding environments.
The BATUR EDPC Series supports a detachable rear backpack with an integrated removable 3-liter hydration bladder.
This configuration provides space for essential equipment while allowing the hydration component to remain part of the overall combat system.
The detachable design also allows operators to modify their configuration when a lighter equipment profile is required.
4. Ammunition and Equipment Accessibility
Operational efficiency depends heavily on how equipment is organized and accessed.
The BATUR EDPC Series supports configurable rifle magazine pouches, pistol magazine pouches, utility compartments, communication devices, and other mission-essential accessories.
The front placard system enables different ammunition configurations without requiring a complete replacement of the carrier.
Additional accessories can be positioned according to operational requirements and individual preferences.
This approach promotes organized equipment management and reduces unnecessary clutter.
5. Communication and Navigation Integration
Modern combat environments increasingly depend on effective communication, coordination, and access to information.
The BATUR EDPC platform supports the integration of communication accessories and compatible mobile navigation boards.
This allows operators to carry essential communication and navigation equipment as part of their combat loadout.
The system is designed with the growing importance of digital battlefield equipment in mind.
6. Quick-Release and Mission Adaptability
In demanding operational environments, the ability to remove or reconfigure equipment quickly can be important.
The BATUR EDPC Series incorporates quick-release shoulder and waist mechanisms, allowing rapid removal when necessary.
Its modular construction also supports configuration changes between different operational roles.
The same basic platform can be adapted for infantry, tactical assault, security, and other specialized applications.
7. Developed Through Continuous Improvement
RAAD Tactical’s journey into advanced plate carrier development began in 2021 with our early protective equipment projects.
The introduction of the BATUR EDPC platform in 2023 marked an important step toward more comprehensive modular combat systems.
Since then, the series has undergone continued development, incorporating improvements in ergonomics, modularity, material selection, attachment systems, and equipment integration.
Our approach has always been to study operational requirements, identify practical challenges, and improve our products through research, development, and user feedback.
We do not believe that a combat system should remain unchanged while the battlefield continues to evolve.
8. Designed and Developed in Pakistan
The BATUR EDPC Series represents RAAD Tactical’s commitment to developing indigenous tactical equipment solutions.
Our objective is not simply to manufacture another plate carrier.
It is to contribute to Pakistan’s growing capability in the research, development, and manufacturing of modern tactical equipment.
By combining local manufacturing with continuous product development, RAAD Tactical aims to provide practical, adaptable equipment solutions for military, law enforcement, and specialized security personnel.
The Future Is Integrated Combat Equipment
The future of soldier equipment is not defined by how many accessories can be attached to a vest.
It is defined by how effectively protection, mobility, communication, hydration, ammunition, and mission-essential equipment function together.
This is the philosophy behind the BATUR EDPC Series.
A modular platform developed to meet changing operational requirements and support the people who operate in demanding environments.
Not Just a Plate Carrier. An Integrated Combat System.
