Modern tactical operations require far more than a basic plate carrier. Operators need a complete load-bearing platform that can be configured around their mission, weapon system, communication equipment, hydration and operational load.

At RAAD Tactical Pvt. Ltd., we developed the BATUR EDPC 1 Modular Plate Carrier System around exactly this requirement.

EDPC 1 is one of our most comprehensive plate carrier platforms, designed and manufactured in Pakistan as a fully modular tactical ecosystem rather than simply a vest with fixed pouches.

A fully configured EDPC 1 can integrate a detachable backpack, 3-litre hydration bladder, interchangeable front placards, rifle magazine pouches, pistol magazine pouches, grenade pouches, radio and communication pouches, utility pouches, pelvic pouch, navigation board, assault panel and other mission-specific attachments.

Every component can be added, removed or rearranged depending on the operator’s role and mission requirements.

This allows EDPC 1 to move from a relatively clean plate carrier configuration to a complete operational load-bearing system without requiring the user to change the core platform.

Built Around Modularity

The strength of EDPC 1 is not the number of pouches attached to it. It is the ability to configure the system according to what the operator actually needs.

An assault team may require additional magazines and grenades. Another user may prioritize communications, hydration and navigation equipment. A longer operation may require the detachable backpack, while a lighter mission may not require it at all.

EDPC 1 represents RAAD Tactical’s continuing effort to develop modern tactical equipment locally.

Advanced modular plate carrier systems are often expensive when sourced internationally. Our objective has been to provide Pakistani security forces with a locally manufactured, highly configurable system at a reasonable price, while retaining the ability to customize equipment according to specific unit requirements.

Most importantly, EDPC 1 is not just a concept or display product. We have already begun providing the system to security-force users, and its development continues through practical requirements and feedback.
